Lagos, Nigeria—A high-level delegation from the International Leadership Foundation (ILF), led by its founder and president, Dr. Delanyo Adadevoh, recently paid a significant visit to former Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo. The meeting underscored ILF’s commitment to transformational leadership and the importance of engaging with figures who have shaped global leadership.
The delegation included Stephen Adu-Amoani, Executive Director of ILF Africa and the Caribbean, Jonathan Onigbinde of the ILF Global Board, as well as Emmanuel Richard and Steve Bawa, members of the ILF Nigeria Board of Directors. Their visit to Obasanjo’s residence, described as the “House of a Transformer,” was a momentous occasion, offering rare insights into the leadership philosophy of one of Africa’s most influential statesmen.
During the discussions, Chief Obasanjo reflected on his decades of service to Nigeria—as a soldier, Head of State, democratically elected President, and now an elder statesman dedicated to national development. His experiences and wisdom left a lasting impression on the ILF team, reinforcing the foundation’s mission of nurturing transformational leaders.
For the ILF Nigeria Operations Director, Mr. Lepan Tyoden, the visit served as a powerful motivation to drive initiatives aimed at leadership transformation and value reorientation. The encounter reaffirmed ILF’s goal of shaping a new generation of leaders who are committed to societal progress and sustainable change.
