Traditional Leaders Empowered at Anlo State Leadership Workshop

Anlo State, Ghana – October 15, 2024 – In a groundbreaking initiative to strengthen traditional leadership, the International Leadership Foundation, in partnership with the Awoamefia of Anlo Dukor Council, hosted a three-day Leadership Capacity Building Workshop for chiefs and queens of the Anlo State.

Held from October 12-14, the workshop brought together prominent traditional leaders to equip them with essential leadership skills and tools to drive meaningful change in their communities. The comprehensive training covered topics such as self-leadership, community engagement, transformational leadership, and conflict resolution.

Over 25 participants attended the workshop, which featured expert facilitators and interactive sessions designed to foster collaboration and knowledge sharing. The training concluded with a certificate ceremony, recognizing the participants’ commitment to enhancing leadership within their communities.

Participants praised the workshop, citing significant insights gained on self-awareness, moral authority, and the importance of values in leadership. “The most significant thing I learned is to know myself to be a good leader,” said one participant.

The workshop’s success has sparked enthusiasm for sustained leadership development in the region. “It’s a good experience and a positive start to doing something great for Anlo. It has to be sustained,” noted another participant.
